SPRING 2011 COLLECTION 

   Caprichos Co. is a fashion design firm that sells exclusively designed ready to wear, upscale apparel for the affluent customer.   It provides a distinctive merchandise with a high design, high quality, performance, better quality materials, construction, make, stylish appearance and advance features and details.  It offers feminine casual and evening clothes styled to complement the figure of a body conscious woman while still remaining comfortable, and wearable.  It targets the affluent woman 25 to 45 years old with a modern, contemporary and advance taste in fashion, who enjoys shopping, attends parties, lavish dinners and ballroom events, travels, is employed, seeks an education or already has one, is single or married, practices sports, values quality, appearance and social status and being well dressed as part of her lifestyle.

Here are some statistics about our customers:

  • 80%of our customers have an annual income of $75,000 to $150,000 and 20%  have higher income
  • 60% are 30 to 39 years old.
  • 70% are employed.  
  • 30% are students.
  • 60% have a bachelors degree.
  • 10%  a doctorate degree.
  • 30% a master.
  • 40% wear business clothing .
  • 20% uniforms .
  • 40% uses casual wear.
  • 70% lives with husband, life mate and children.

    The merchandise is available at exclusive department stores, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdale’s, Barneys New York, Nordstrom,  Saks Fifth Avenue, private own boutiques, Caprichos ‘ Boutiques, and its website www.caprichos.com.  The price range runs from $ 190 for a  casual garment piece  to $4000 for a gala gown.  It carries the modern size range scale as well as the petite size range scale:

    Our competition is the well known name designer firms who serve the upscale, contemporary and advanced  customer target.  We advertise through the internet, public relations, Vogue, Bazaar, Vanity Fair, WWD. 

   Caprichos’ Spring 2011 Collection: Simple Beauty is all about ultimate simplicity and abstraction; source of inspiration: Piet Mondrian neoplasticism.   As in “DeStijl” the designer makes use of the fundamental principle of the geometry of the straight line, the square, and the rectangle combined with a strong asymmetracality.  We use pure primary colors red, yellow, blue, gray, light blue along with black and white; and the relationship between positive and negative elements in an arrangement of non objective forms and lines.  The goal: to create unique pieces in simple form and color.

   Our approach is the use of straight horizontal, vertical and angled black lines that contour woman ‘s figure to reveal her inherent  beauty. The result is the creation of a feminine, modern, elegant, simple, unique, and  youthful l collection which takes form in a slim, tight fitted, triangular, hourglass silhouette. It comes in rich luxe fabrics of silks, linens, jerseys, spandex, cottons, and satin.  We name the collection Simple Beauty, the groups are named  Black and White; Red and Yellow; Blue; and Red, Yellow, and Blue.

  • Black and White is evening wear, dresses made in white and black satin, layers of black satin ribbon, inserts of black satin in horizontal, vertical, or angular lines. In a tight fitted or triangular silhouette.
  • Red and Yellow includes cocktail, casual wear, dresses, pants, and blouses in red, yellow, white linen, and stretch white satin. Horizontal and vertical black and white lines accent the garment, and belts contour the waist, again we see tight fitted and triangular silhouette.
  • Blue is daytime and cocktail dresses in blue cotton, silk, and linen with white and black lines in horizontal and vertical directions, the silhouette is tight fitted and triangular.
  • Red, Yellow, and Blue is daytime and evening wear inspired by the paintings of Piet Mondrian, It comes in a tight fitted and triangular silhouette, made in spandex, linens, cottons, and silks, some pieces feature innovative mosaic patterns of Mondrian signature neoplasticism.

   For this collection we are planning to produce nine hundred thousand items (900,000); we will sell our merchandise to 800 private boutiques nationwide, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdale’s, Barneys New York, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s, Lord and Taylor, our website, and at Caprichos’ Boutique.
